For over a century friends and family have escaped to Alden Camps to unplug and reconnect.
Great fishing, fantastic food and family fun all on the shores of East Pond, on a beautiful 40 acre property with a rolling field and a towering pine grove make for an unforgettable vacation.
Our resort is where all kids, big and small, get to be kids again without the distractions of life at home. Our kind and welcoming staff take care of all of the household chores, cooking and cleaning so you can truly relax, and do nothing afterwards!
Head out in a kayak or boat, on paddle board or out on a dock to cast a line, watch the sun set or simply listen to the call of loons and gentle waves lapping on the shore. Spend the afternoon at our sandy, gradual bottomed beach. Teach someone to waterski, or take a thrilling ride in a tube behind our ski boat. Grab the book that you have been wanting to finish and relax in the hammock on your porch or head up to the recreation barn for some ping pong, shuffleboard or a yoga class.
Alden Camps offers many activities at no additional charge.
Our recreation program is informally structured around the interests of our guests. We happily entertain any suggestions for activities. Tournaments and other events are organized by guests and staff throughout the summer. For the younger campers we offer “Kid’s Time” on weekday afternoons.
OUR RESORT IS WHERE ALL KIDS, BIG AND SMALL, GET TO BE KIDS AGAIN WITHOUT THE DISTRACTIONS OF LIFE AT HOME.

RECREATION BARN
Come meet us at the community barn! Check out our Daily events board! Events will be started or held here including ping pong, shuffleboard, cribbage tournaments, and an arts and craft day! We also have recommended off site daily adventures for throughout the week including white water rafting, local hikes, wine cheese farm tours, mountain biking, golf courses, and disc golf. Pre and post dinner events including whiffle ball, sports events, and family games to be held daily!

KID'S TIME
A creative, adventurous time for kids that is offered after lunch, Monday through Friday from 1:00-3:00. Some favorite activities consist of finger painting, paper bag puppets, nature walks, and other arts and crafts. It’s a great time for the kids to get to know each other, let lunch settle and get ready to swim!

FISHING
East Pond is renowned for it’s Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. Brown Trout, Brook Trout, White and Yellow Perch, Sunfish, and Pickerel are also found in the lake. East Pond is the headwaters for the Belgrade Lakes Chain. Approximately three miles long and one and a half miles wide, the lake has a varied shoreline with numerous coves. The outlet of the lake flows into North Pond through a vibrant wildlife area called the Serpentine.

BOATS & MOTORS
Small fishing Boats, 14 foot Lund boats, with 8hp Yamaha four stroke outboard motors are available for rent. We request that boats and motors be reserved at the same time as your cottage. We also have an aluminum canoe and a few kayaks available at no charge.

PLAYING FIELDS
Equipment includes basketball, volleyball, badminton, croquet, volleyball, corn hole, bocce and horseshoes as well as a sandbox and two swing sets for little folks. A clay court is also carefully maintained for your enjoyment.

SCENIC WALKS
The French open would be jealous. There might not be a more picturesque clay tennis court in the state of Maine. Overlooking East Pond, the historic Alden Camps clay tennis court has been home to some of the most legendary matches that no one has ever heard of. We do not require all whites; we do however ask politely to sweep the court and lines after use.

WATERSKIING & TUBE RIDES
Offered daily at the beach from 3:00-5:00 for no additional charge in the afternoon.
